Description

Each capsule provides a 250 mg proprietary blend of Scutellaria baicalensis (extract and root) and Arcadia catechu (extract, heartwood and bark). The botanical components provide an all natural, patented blend of two classes of specific compounds; Free-B-Ring Flavonoids and flavins.

Sculacia inhibits both COX-2 and 5-LO enzymatic activity, thereby decreasing the metabolism of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes. In a randomized double-blind, controlled study using the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteo-Arthritis Index (WOMAC) - a protocol reviewed and approved by the University of Montreal - Sculacia™ proprietary composition resulted in a significant improvement in joint health, as evidenced by improvement in comfort, stiffness and function when compared to placebo.

This product contains a patented extract made from the herb skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) and an extract made from catechu (Acacia catechu). Skullcap has been used for it’s anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activity. Catechu is an herbal medicine used to treat high blood pressure, diarrhea, and stomach problems (dysentery, colitis, gastric cancer). It has been used as a mouthwash for mouth, gum, and throat diseases, such as gingivitis, stomatitis, and pharyngitis. It can also be used to treat hemorrhoids and other skin problems.

This patented combination of herbal extracts has been shown to decrease various inflammatory markers. This is a safe product that works because it supplies natural free-B-ring flavonoids and flavins.
